I cant get my eye shadow off, ive used make up remover and its stained my eyelids pink. What can i do?

You need to use an oil based eye make up remover, not just a remover designed for make up.


The skin on your eyelids is more delicate that the rest of your face and it will soak up the colour of the make up you hve been using over the years.


I have ';permanent'; eye shadow on now since I have been using eye make up for years but I dont really mind it as it saves me having to apply lol.


I am certain if you used oil based eye make up remover and soft tissue - not cotton wool as that can get caught up in your eyelashes and you could get it in your eyes - then you will be able to remove it all.

what type of eye shadow was it? that doesnt seem normal...





maybe leave it for the night and try again tomorrow.... you can try washing it with sorbolene or soap...





it sounds like your skin is sensitive, maybe look into the brands of make up you are using, stick to mineral makeup if possible, its a bit less damaging on the skin.





and if all else fails till your skin calms down just put on metalic coloured eye shadows like brown to cover the pinK!!

Apply vaseline to the area. Petroleum jelly is best used to remove eye shadow. Place a dab on your finger and wipe over the eyelids. Remove with a wash cloth.
It is probably because you have a cheap make up remover. Take a shower but if you don't it will probably come off in your sleep anyway so don't worry
I think that maybe the eye shadow has come off, and that it is already sore. Perhaps, because you've been rubbing it too much and that your eyelids look pink because they are in fact sore.
Like a sauna.. hold your face over a large bowl of hot water, this will open you pores and clean your face then after rinse with cold water to close your pores, then use makeup remover again babez xxxxxx
In future, use tonics for make-up removing... they're very nice, i use them, and no matter how much make-up i have on, it's gone in a sec !
try some vaseline that tends to work well and it conditions your eyelashes at the same time

Your eyes already have a nice deep look, so I would stay away from dark colors in the crease, it would make you look like your eyes were being sucked into your head. Instead, try using a liner brush and applying a dark shad at the lash line, then a medium shade on the lid and a light shade at the brow line. Try a nice brown palette, or maybe mauves and pinks. You have very beautiful eyes, don't drown them!Eye make up(pic included)?
Mocha and chocolate brown eye shadows would be good. Darker liners like navy or charcoal also look nice on brunettes.
Try soft green or blue shades, light purple or pinks, or some neutral colors like browns and golds to bring out your eyecolor.
I think you'd look really nice with a dark brownish eyeshadow.
For you, start with some light shadow all over your lid, then dab some light pink on your upper lid (from lash line to crease) Use a dark brown shadow or a black eyeliner to define the outer corners of your upper and lower lashes, and finish with two coats of the darkest black mascara you ca find.
Oh my goodness - you are gorgeous!!!! You have a dramatic face, that would be great with some smoky brown eyeshadow on your lids and in the bottom outer corners with some brown.black thick mascara. Sheer makup like Bare Minerals, add a little bronzer, light lipgloss, and you will enhance what beautiful features you already have!
the foundation that you choose should match your skin...if you go too dark, then your face will be on color and your neck another....and that looks funny.





Eye shadow.....use neutrals....beige's and browns....you can also use a plum color to accentuate your eyes....line the top lid near the lashes and the bottom near the lashes....then use your eyeliner, just to darken around the lashes them selves. Do not use any bright colors on your lips.....what eve color you choose.....try to make sure that it has a neutral base to it....like a coral color. You have very nice skin, It will be alot of trial and error.....but don't give up.....and don't wear too much makeup......best of luck
I beg to differ b/c I think that you are pretty, and with your face and your skin tone I would use light make-up and brown eye liner would look great. I think with your face light is best.
Actually, you are gorgeous! I would try Almay 'Bring out the Brown' it has mascara, eyeliner and an eyesadow trio with colors that compliment brown eyes!! Available at most Fine Retailers I got some at costco! oh and it has directions on the back!!
um..sweetie? you're gorgeous! I think you're make-up looks good in the link. Sometimes what I do to make my dark chocolate eyes pop is use a shimmery blue aroud my lids. not all over the lid but as a liner on the top lid and liner on the bottom lid. And not like opaque or dark dark blue, but a turquoise type of color.

Yes ...Baby Oil is safe and good and affordable .....I have used baby oil for a long time to remove eye makeup and I take cotton ball or cotton square and put some oil on it and hold it on my eyes for a few seconds then I gently wipe the makeup off my eye ....then I take a warm wash cloth and wipe my eyes to get any of the baby oil off of them ....Here is a website that tells you some different ways such as baby shampoo ...baby wipes .... but I think the baby oil would be cheaper than the baby wipes .... anyways here is the site ...

As I mentioned to another person above -she was asking about a good and long lasting eyeliner - a decent make up remover for ALL make up includinhg mascara and eyeliner, is Nivea Milk / Cream... It's quite inexpensive and usage requires that you use as much as you need with the amount of make up you use Pour a bity into you hand, and with a finger of the other hand, ';dip in'; and rub over the make up area and one eye at a time to make sure yuou get rid of all the ';traces';.. Wipe of the excess, and repeat a couple of time keeping the eye (s) well closed...


Results are A-1 and you don't need to spend a lot of $$ on well advertised and overpriced products.


Another product you might want to try if you don't like Nivea, is a thing called ';Cetaphil'; - same process... but this is made in Canada and you may not have access to it in your area. Good luck in your quests. Regards, Rachelle In High Heels
Yes, you can basically try neutrogena (depending on budget) and also mac and faces have the best eye makeup remover.....the neutrogena one is under 10 $$ and does the job

I think that photo had been slightly edited because it looks so flawless but I can't be sure! but all you need is a good liquid eyeliner, dark kohl pencil eyeliner and a thin eyeshadow brush with black or dark eyeshadow to smudge round the eye. what you'll need is eyeliner and mascara.


It looks like that it might take you a long time to get it perfected but once you have perfected it, it might only take like 5mins

first draw a light line under your eyelashes in black then do it a bit thicker in the liquid one and continue.you can also put flicks on the ends of your eyes(this looks very nice when done well)

you need two types of eyeliner liquid %26amp; pencil. you use liquid eyeliner on the top eye and maybe a bit of black eyeshadow in the corner and on the bottom underneath the actual eye use a black eyeliner pencil and smudge it slightly %26amp; it will look lie that. Use a mascara on the top eyelashes but not the bottom %26amp; it should work! you didnt ask for certain products but i would recommend glam eyes mascara by rimmel, and eyeliners by bourjous they rock! hope it goes well :)
You will need:


liquid eyeliner


black pencil liner


white pencil liner


black eyeshadow + brush


black mascara


eyelash curlers





First use the liquid eyeliner to line your upper lash line (make the line quite thick).


Then use the black eyeshadow and put on your whole lid (up to the crease) and using a eyeshadow brush smudge outwards to create a smoky eye.


Line your lower lash line with the black pencil liner


Line your waterline (inner- near the eye) with the white pencil liner and this will make eyes appear bigger.


Now curl your lashes with the eyelash curler for about 10 secs each eye.


Then finally apply 2 coats of black mascara.





Done.
In order to get such a dark effect, I would use a black eyeshadow creme pencil rather than a shadow. Try L'Oreal HIP creme eyeshadow stick in black. That way you can draw it on dark and thick. Use a black eyeliner to fill in any spaces close to lashes. Use a silver/white highlighting pen (NYC has one, or Maybelline cool Effects) to line inner corners. Follow with volumizing mascara. Try Maybelline Lash XXL or Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black.
You will want liquid liner and pencil liner.


A white/sliver liner or shadow.

Apply the liquid liner to the top lid and bottom rim. Then apply the pencil liner and smudge. leave the corners empty.


Apply the black shadow over the lid and the way you see in the corners.


Then apply the sliver/white liner to the corners and underneath the black on the bottom.


Then sweep Mascara on.





Just practice you will get right sooner or later.

well for starters you've got really pretty green eyes and gorgeous long lashes. so you've got a something great to work with.





start by curling your lashes with a good quality eyelash curler





apply a good, even coat of brown/black mascara (black will look too harsh) on both your top and bottom lashes





get some pearl eyeshadow (the lighter the better but light neutral tones will work too)





dust it lightly under your bottom lash line to brighten up the skin beneath your bottom lashes





dust it on your lid and most importantly on the inner corners of your eyes (this is what will make them pop above anything else)





now apply one last coat of mascara on the top and bottom lashes





your look is finished!

I'm into extreme stuff so you might want to tone it down, but this is what i do:





1. Teensy-weensy plucked eyebrows, but fill them in with eyeliner so they're defined.


2. Bright color eyeshadow! I usually do purple, hot pink, or neon green. Occasionally I use black.


3. Black liquid liner on top, %26amp; wing it out on the outside.


4. Lots of mascara :)


5. Just a little bit of eyeliner %26amp; bronze eyeshadow on the bottom. That way it looks defined, but balances out the craziness on top.











TADA! you're done. Don't put anything on your lips (except maybe chapstick) or your skin unless you need a little concealer.





I like my eyes to be over-the-top, and then have everything else pale and natural.

It depends on what time of day you are looking at. In general earthly colors fits blonds. Look at your browns %26amp; also brown mascara, it lets you look more natural than the black. Some pastel colors also suits blonds.
I find blonde haired gals with a light steel grey or smokey eye look makes them look really pretty. :]
