it's better that you actually see people applying make-up, instead of having people explain it to you-thus rendering you confused!
I'll verbally explain how i apply eyeshadow anyway!
1)Urban decay primer potion-it helps your eyeshadows last longer, and apply more vividly. But you don't need to get it just if.
2)Use a brush(i recommend a MAC 239, or any other eyeshadow brush that applies all over the lid-check www.sephora.com). There are a variety of brushes you can use like crease brushes, blending brushes etc. But for now, just use an all-over lid brush.
3)Apply the eye-shadow-check out a colour wheel to see which eyeshadow will make your eye colour pop!(MAC does great eyeshadows, urban decay, make-up forever, too faced).
4)depending on the effect you want, you can apply the eyshadow in a variety of ways....which is really why you should check out the youtube make-up gurus!
Check out the makeup section at your pharmacy or Wal-Mart/K-Mart type store. A lot of brands now have hints on how to apply eyeshadow right on the packages so you can refer to them everytime you do your makeup.
Play around with it a bit, have fun. I like to ';checkerboard'; my eyes- I take two shades that are different and I put one shade from the corner of my eye to the middle of the eyelid, and finish the eyelid off with the other color. Then I take similar colored eyeliners and do the same, but the opposite way.
start with a concealer under the eyes then a light beige under the eyebrow bown folowed by a touch of brown on the outer corners of your eyes bled the nice volume mascara dont for get to pluck those eyebrows do the mascara top and bottom then on the inside rim of your eye khol hey presto a smokey easy eyes.
eyeshadow colors:
green
brown
ivory
purple
blue
gold
a good dramatic look is the smokey look:
-smudge charcoal eyeliner around the outer corners of your eyes, then apply a shimmery gray eyeshadow over that. then add 5 coats of black mascara on your top or bottom lashes.
also try a classier look:
-line your top lid with black liquid eyeliner, do a wind at the end. this looks really good for parties if you do it in a color.
go colorful:
this look is only good for parties. take a vibrant color(blue, purple, green) and smudge it on your top lid, highlight it with god or silver eyeshadow, then apply mascara and eyeliner as usual.
I mostly use makeup for my eyes, because without it my eyes are tiny and I hate it! Well I use eyeshadow, Eyeliner, and mascara. Not a lot of either though! You dont wanna look cheap! :D
Mascara from Maybelline works good
Eyeliner from Maybelline works good
Eyeshadow from Covergirl works good
Gosh that's a hard one to answer, seeing as I don't know your eye colour or style. But I will give you all the tips I can :).
Ok firstly, if you have light hair colour, and lashes a brown eyeliner and masacara will look much more natural. Where as dark eyebrows and hair will suite black for maximum intensity. This will lengthen, add volume or curl your lashes to a great extent making your eye seductive and intensely attractive.Don't forget to apply eye curler before applying mascara.. (Then again brown eyeliner can work well with black lashes too.)
If your looking for a day to day look, a simple metalic tone across the outer side of your lid with brighten up any colour eye and stick in fashion! Always dab a small amount of white powder in the inner area of your eye (very small) as it widens eyes and creates more impact. After adding mascara always de-clump or you will look trashy, which is not good! If your bottom lashes are light don't be afraid to add a layer, which is also very in at the moment. This is a simple look so don't bother to add liner, for this you can afford a more attention grabbing lip, such as velvet red, or if your not into it, a cute pink tone. Maybe add a bronzing foundation to keep skin looking glowy against the simple eyes.
If you are thinking of how to apply dark eye makeup then here are some basic tips that can help you a lot. Firstly you have to well define your eye brow which will add a considerable impact to your eyes and will also help to do dark eye makeup. Then apply a light colored shadow on your eye brow bone. It can be metallic color like beige, pearl pink, or it can be white colored shadow. Any pale color you can apply (that should match your dress color) on your eye brow bone. Apply a medium shade on the middle of your eye lid and blend it well with a foam applicator or brush. Now apply a darker shade or dark metallic color staring from one end of your eyes till the middle of your eye lid.and also give a touch of the same color on the corner of lower eyelid.
Now apply eye liner by gently stretching your eye-lid away with your fingers from your eye and draw a fine line with the help of your eyeliner brush along the inner lining of the eye and do the same procedure for your upper lid.
Dark eyes are more of a night time style, but don't be afraid to experiment! :)
I would also say Urban Decays range of metallic/glitter liquid liners are A M A Z I N G and definitely worth the investment! If you are going for the night look keep lips nude (very in) and add a small amount of concealor to the tricky areas ( chin and forehead) and then just sweep the minium amount of blusher or bronzer (depending on skin tone) across cheek bones (from outside to inside) which will define your face structure!
Good luck!
First smudge very thinly grey or black eyeliner on your top eyelid. Then start of thinly on the bottom eyelid %26amp; then gradually go thicker.
with mascara its very diffucalt to make sure it doesnt go all clumpy %26amp; spidery legss as my mum always call my eye lashes . The best way is if you do one layer then wait one minute %26amp; then do that for another 4 layers it might take longer than ususal but its worth it .
good luck x
